General

January 2010 is an extremely big month and not only the most important month of the year, but one of your most important months ever, especially when it comes to financial and professional matters. The year begins with a lunar eclipse in your income sector on New Year’s Day, giving a line up of planets in your financial sector a shake up, ahead of a solar eclipse in your financial sector on the 15th January. It’s on the 18th January that Jupiter, planet of luck moves into your career sector for the first time since he was last here between February 1998 and February 1999. Joining forces with Uranus, planet of surprise and the unexpected for the first time here since 1928, this is destined to blow your professional options wide open. Expect things to move very fast, with neither Jupiter nor Uranus in the mood to muck around. After all, this is something that has been building for 6 years. Saturn’s position in your romantic and creative sector and his retrograde move on the 14th January, is doing his part to ensure that there is a balance between work and play.

Love

As you move into the New Year Saturn, planet of honesty and conviction is at a near crawl in your romantic sector and within days will be at a complete standstill, as he prepares to turn retrograde on the 14th January. Once in retrograde motion he’ll retrace his steps, moving in backward motion until he eventually retrogrades all the way out on the 8th April, not returning again until the 22nd July. This opens the door to second chances, an opportunity to retrace your steps, make up for lost time or to learn from or repair the past and needs to be approached in a slow and careful way. When Saturn is moving this slowly you can’t hurry love or your heart, with love moving at a snail’s pace for a reason. When Saturn turns retrograde chances you thought were lost are able to be recaptured, with many twists and turns over the coming weeks and months.

Money

January is a blockbuster month as far as financial forces are concerned and when you add the fact that it is also the month when lucky professional stars kick in, then you’ll be left wondering how you're going to fit it into just one month. The month begins with a once in a lifetime line up of forces in your financial sector, which includes the Sun, Venus, Mercury, Pluto and the North Node. This is a line up that you've never seen before and will never see again, creating an opportunity for real change. Things come to a head on Day 1, with a lunar eclipse in your income sector on the 1st January. Falling just 17 days before Jupiter reaches your career sector, this brings a wake up call and lays down some clear bottom lines, from Day 1. Then just 2 weeks later a solar eclipse falls in your financial sector, on the 15th January, bringing things on the financial front to a head and opening some major new doors. With Venus leaving your financial sector on the 19th January and the Sun on the 20th January there is some urgency to get things sorted, but with Mercury in retrograde motion until the 16th January and here until the 10th February, things are not as rushed as they’re trying to make out they are.

Business

What has been 6 years in the making and has survived every obstacle life could throw at it over the last 14 months finally comes into its own, triumphing over adversity. It’s on the 18th January that Uranus’ position in your career sector since 2003 is vindicated and all the challenges and pressures he’s been under make sense. It’s on the 18th January that Jupiter, planet of luck moves into your career sector for the first time since he was last here between February 1998 and February 1999, joining forces with Uranus for the first time here since 1928. This turns what would have been a once in a decade year for professional success and opportunity into a once in a lifetime year. There is no room to dawdle though, with things picking up on the 18th January and staying that way for the next 5 months. This is one year when you won’t need to push things, but instead where you'll be running to keep pace.
